About Kate Cockle

Kate's harp isn't actually yellow, but her "Yellow Harp" brand definitely captures the vibrancy and joy of her professional harp playing. Kate first heard a harp at the age of five, and from that moment knew she wanted to be a harpist. Her dream has come true, and her passion is to share her love of the harp through her creative music making.

Having played for congressmen, premier businesses and the former mayor of Chicago, Kate is equally at home at private receptions and banquets. Kate frequently performs for corporate events, notably for the Grand Opening of 215 West in downtown Chicago, and the Wheaton Associates Development Breakfast at Wheaton College. Especially over the summer, but year round as well, Kate can be found in historic mansions, gardens, churches and anywhere else you can imagine bringing her musical flair to wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Recently, Kate performed as soloist in the hauntingly beautiful Faure Requiem with the Glen-Ellyn Wheaton Chorale, and has also shared the stage with the Harper College Symphony, the Spirito! Singers, and the Northern Illinois Concert Choir.

Kate also enjoys performing chamber music with one or two of her musical friends because it feels like time with friends, replacing the words with music to create either a lively and animated or a soft-spoken and relaxing musical conversation.

Give your next event the distinctive touch of YellowHarp. Working with Kate you will be able to design and personalize the music for your event to create an unforgettable experience. Book with Kate here
